Alina Sloan is an energetic performer and versatile musical talent, playing bass, guitar, keys, and singing for artists across the indie rock and pop scenes. Known for her onstage presence, Sloan has toured all over the globe and performed for sold-out arenas of over 20,000.

In 2023, she embarked on a months-long run playing bass and synths for the artist Wallice, notably as support for The 1975’s “At Their Very Best” tour across Asia, Australia, and New Zealand. In 2024, Sloan toured with artists such as Juliet Ivy, Sabrina Song, and Pom Pom Squad, playing festivals in Singapore, England, and at the historic Forest Hills Stadium in NYC. She also wrote and arranged on Pom Pom Squad’s sophomore LP Mirror Starts Moving Without Me, which was named one of the Rolling Stone’s “Best Albums of 2024” and recorded at Electric Lady Studios.

Originally from Arkansas, Sloan’s journey with music began when she picked up the electric guitar at 8 years old and played in jazz bands throughout high school. In 2017, Sloan moved to New York to complete her degree at NYU— however, it was also during this time that Sloan began formally studying bass under acclaimed Broadway bassist Yuka Tadano and became an active participant in the New York music scene.

Sloan quickly discovered a love for playing live music as she embarked on her first tour with New York-based group Pom Pom Squad for their 2022 “Death of a Cheerleader” tour, playing bass for over 35 shows across North America and Europe. Since then, Sloan has continued to tour extensively, perhaps best known for opening for artists such as The 1975, JAWNY, and Carol Ades. Other career highlights include performing on KEXP-Seattle’s “Live at KEXP” sessions and playing major festivals such as Primavera Sound, Kilby Block Party, and Head in the Clouds.

When not on the road, Sloan can be found playing and recording with a diverse roster of artists all over New York and working on her own musical projects.
